Dianne Tipping-Woods is an award-winning journalist who tells stories about conservation, travel and development in South and southern Africa. She has more than 10 years experience as a freelance writer working for a wide range of clients and publications. These include South African Tourism, the UK’s Department for International Development, Trademark Southern Africa, WWF-USA and WWF-SA, Facebook and the Southern African Wildlife College. She has also done work in print and online for Sawubona, Highlife, Wild Magazine, AA Traveller, Africa Geographic, Getaway, Women & Home, Wildlife Magazine, BBC, Saturday Star, Essentials Magazine, Mail & Guardian, Ventures Africa, Lowveld Living and more.
She has a BJourn (with distinction) from Rhodes University, where her interest in the intersection between story-telling and technology began. She is currently based in Hoedspruit, a small town in South Africa’s Limpopo Province. She loves photography, reading and travel.
